Be adventurous! Try a cycling holiday or incorporate cycling into your holiday. John and I have returned to cycling as a great way to really appreciate the local countryside. It's good for the environment, plus our own health! We're probably years older than you are, so give it a go.
The Tour de Yorkshire is now a firmly established event each year in late April/ early May, providing plenty of excitement and action along each of the routes.
Cycling has become increasingly popular with our visitors. Most bring their own cycles, which we can happily accommodate. You may require information about bike hire.
BikeAbout in Filey is the cycle hire firm we use. email@example.com They will deliver to our cottages and collect at the end of your hire period.
We are actually on one of Sustrans designated cycle routes. It is easy to download brilliant cycle routes mapped out by East Yorkshire Council across The Yorkshire Wolds.
Bridlington is the finish point of the long distance 'Way of The Roses' cycle route, which starts at Morecambe Bay and ends at Bridlington North Bay, just about a mile from our cottages here at Field House
The Dalby Forest has fantastic rough terrain cycling with green through to black runs and is about 45 minutes away by car. It provides a wonderful day outdoors, as there are plenty of other facilities on offer for the non-cyclists in the family/group.
Le Tour 2014 followed by Le tour de Yorkshire 2015 , 2016, 2017 and 2018 has made happy cyclists of us all!
We now look forward to Le Tour 2019, which will either begin or end in Bridlington
